- Our philosophy has always been that art and music are the best ambassador, building bridges between cultures and connecting people through common experiences. As international relations majors, BOA’s founders believe that in a highly politicized world divided by ethnic, racial, religious and cultural lines, art holds the power to cross these lines and educate on a level that goes beyond the mind to the heart and soul.

I love the philosophy... would you be interested in connecting with me for a conversation?... I am in Australia and the AAU is a money free entity so I use Skype to chat voice style but I would do what I have to speak with ya... Basically I try to serve our artistic members by promoting their stuff and stuff... very basic artist management... hmmm.... maybe if you have a little time sometime (and if you haven't already), you may like to read our 'document' (at the bottom of the mission statement is a pdf attachment)...
The crux of this initiative is to form long term and strong partnerships with like-minded organisations and individuals that may be interested in furthering the not-for-profit aims of of the AAU... we are a basic word of mouth structure but we have been involved in many and varied campaigns now and are gathering momentum.
Recently we were selected for promotion through the Changents website and are being approached by not-for-profits organisations such as the Australian Student Environmental Network and Friends of the Earth here in Australia to provide Graphic Design and artwork consultation for tshirts and other merchandise and activist tools for upcoming anti-coal campaigns, we receive a little bit of promotion as an 'in kind sponsor' and form more links and are open to wider networking... with a few more friends and a few more networks and a few more resources, we can do this thing and really provide meaningful interactions between the causes and the artists that are passionate about them... as well as providing a hell of a lot of positive awareness and cross-promo at the same time!
If there is anything that your little organisation would be willing to help us out with I would love to say BOA were another official AAU entity, we can only open our networks to you and promote events and call-outs such as the awesome opportunity you have already posted ...
Finding events and opportunities for the artists of course is the artist management that we do and our artists get a great amount of positive re-inforcement from tiny little perks...
For example, Eduardo's amazing work was featured in our recent blog... that then prompted Eleanor at Changents to reciprocate in a blog that FEATURED his work, Eduardo was honoured and excited.
Ahhhh... think I have raved enough???

Co-incidently I also make dance music and although I am not bugging you for management (unless you really dig it that is :-) )... but I would be UTTERLY thrilled if could take a minute to listen... it's dancin' spirituality mannnn.... :-)
There are only 3 songs there so far, not giving it all up yet :-)
